The present document defines the conditions through which Conv2pdf permits its clients to use the service of conversion to PDF.
Copyright
The user is the only one responsible for the data that he/she sends on the servers of Conv2pdf.
Before submitting any document to the online conversion service, the user must assure that he/she holds the copyright to it. The website will not be held responsible in any case of disrespect of this clause.
The user recognizes that the document converted constitutes a new document jointly owned by the original owner. Also, the user must not publish the converted documents without the prior agreement of the original owner.
Limitations of liability
Conv2pdf is a free service, which does not offer any guaranty of any sort regarding its usage. Conv2pdf may be used for the personal or professional purposes. However, Conv2pdf is not responsible for the consequences of the use of converted documents.
Conv2pdf does not guarantee in any way that the online conversion service will satisfy the needs of the user and that the documents obtained correspond to his/her expectations in terms of quality and of speed.
However, Conv2pdf cannot be held responsible for any damage whether of a direct or indirect nature (for instance financial losses due to inability to make profits, interruption of activities or loss of data,...) resulting from the use of the service or inability to use it.
Privacy of data
Conv2pdf respects your privacy and the confidence that you have placed in its service. The following describes the measures taken in order to safeguard the security and privacy of data.
In order to improve the online conversion service and adapt it to the needs of users, we have made efforts to safeguard the data of converted files, to know the name of files, their sizes, types as well as the duration of conversion or error message in case of loss.
To guarantee total privacy, the original files are automatically deleted immediately after their conversion. While the converted files are deleted within 15 to 30 minutes after conversion and any data concerning their contents is not saved.
The email addresses sent for the purposes of contacting friends and/or newsletters are exclusively used to response to your emails and to register you on our diffusion list. They will not be used, in any case, for other purposes or transmitted to a third party.
A supplementary security measure is furnished by the cookies of the site. In effect, to help these cookies combined to other controls of security, we have conceived a system that allows PDF files to be downloaded only by the person that effected the conversion. For your own security, the deactivation of some cookies makes it impossible to download any file.
The improvement of service is made possible by statistics (frequencies, number of conversions, number of users per country, etc.) In order to achieve this, Conv2pdf makes use of the service « Google Analytics » offered by Google.
